Why is the display suddenly too large for my monitor?

After two years of operation, suddenly the display is too large for my monitor. How can I adjust it back to normal?

Have you tried to change resolution?
Which resolution is displayed (switch off monitor, then on again).

Try to reset monitor to factory configuration.
Unplug monitor from power and hold the power button for 60 sec.
Then plug the monitor back in and power it up.

Else - please give us more informations about your hardware!
