ZR30w shuts off after a few hours

I've been running dual ZR30w's for about two years now. I feel like I do a pretty good job of turning the monitors off when they're not use. I've noticed one of them is a little dimmer than the other. Over the past week, this same one has begun shutting off after a few hours of being on. I've noticed the interval before shut off is getting shorter and shorter. When it does shut off, I can turn it back on but it is much more dim and will shut off after 1-2 seconds. To rememedy, I usually leave it off for 5 minutes then it will be fine again for a few hours.

Whats going on? How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Jason

Re: ZR30w shuts off after a few hours

Sounds like a part is failing from heat.  When it gets too hot, it becomes out of tolerance and needs to cool down until it can meet specs again. Someone will have to take a look but it may only be a bad capacitor that shouldn't cost too much. Get a few quotes from some computer shops.
