ZR5740w low resolution

Hi,

Wanted to hook up my new ZR2740w Monitor to my PC via a NVIDIA GeForce 7600GT/Dual Link DVI Cable. However it works only with 1280x720. Only once I was able to get the native resolution (2560x1440) but after going to sleep, it did not respond anymore - only black screen. I had to switch back to 1280x720.

 

What worries me, is that I had recently connected an HP ZR30W together with an HP L11925 (19"/1280x1024) running both with full resolution with this card.

 

Is the new ZR2740w bad or do I need a new graphic card/new PC?
