Today is suspossed to be free for all questions regardless of the product. I have a creative live wireless web cam. It works fine when I am home using it on my computers and I can access the privite website without any problems. However and that is a big one because that is the major reason for purchasing several years ago. I cannot access it when I am away from home and that like I stated is why I paid 2oo.00 bucks for this thing. I wanted to be able to monitor my home when away from home. I don't know how to do what needs to be done to let my website be entered when I am across country or even just a few miles from home. Help me so a layman can understand it please.

Mywildcat, welcome to the forum.
The only information that I was able to find on your webcam is for an older version. It stated that it came with a wireless server that connects to your computer when away from home. This allows you to connect to your home computer using the web address that is furnished by Creative Labs for that purpose.
Is your webcam a newer version? If you let me know the acutual version, I will do what I can to help solve your problem.

It is actually from 2005 which to me is not that old as I only need it for remote viewing every 3 yr or so. Anyway it was purchased in 2005 and I have started using a new computer and it won't work with windows 7 so apparently it is out dated by computing standards. My other computers are all Windows Vista and it works but just not when I am away from home like I originally stated. The tag on bottom ways 2002 was the manufacturing date. The Cd says 2005 which was when I purchased it. I hope it is not to late to get some info on what if anything I can do to make this thing work when I visit my kids. I really don't want to buy a newer model although the newer ones are a lot cheaper than what this was.
