The hp 2311 monitor\has a dvi-i port. Does this monitor support dual link or single link or both depending on the type of dvi-i cable used?
Thanks Jeff

There are at least three different models of HP monitors that are 2311... 2311x, 2311xi, 2311gt. Please narrow this down for us by providing a complete model number and/or product number.
Assuming you have the HP 2311x, your monitor only supports DVI-D, HDMI and VGA video input connectors supported. DVI-I is a form of DVI that carrys both digital and analog signals. I think you mean your monitor has DVI-D and does it support single-link and/or dual-link.
Dual-link is for high bandwidth senarios... very high resolution (typically 2,048 × 1,536 and higher) and/or high refresh rates (typically 80Hz and higher). Your monitor doesn't support very high resolution or high refresh rates, therefore it most likely supports single-link only.
