hpw 2007 moniter drive wont reinstall

tried to update my hpw 2007drives/software and it failed now i get a error saying Windows Encoutered a problem installing the driver software.... it found driver software but encountored and error.....  access is denied!  i tried the patch from hp and it still cant get it to work. my system is vista 32 ultimate 2 gigs of ram 3.00 duo core ati radeon hd 2400 ,2- 500 gig hdd's     HELP!!!!!      thanks

Hi,

 

Be sure that you are the PC administrator.

 

 

I solved the issue of Access Denied by installing the driver (inf file) manually.

 

Go to Device Manager and locate the Monitor

Right mouse click and select update driver software

Browse my computer

Select let me pick from a list

Select have Disk

Browse to C:\swsetup\monitors\HP_2007\files\

Select HP_2007.inf

Click to install from disk

Next

 

You might even be able to just navigate directly to the HP folder, locate the .inf file, right mouse click on it and select install.
