Hello,

What is your objective of having a PCI Expre x16 Video card, do you want to play games with it?

What type of games? This is important to know, because,we can recommend you several cards, depending on what usage will you give to the card, because if you just want a card to have a better video performance, the newer low end cards, may are enough, and in that way you dont  need to be concern about the cost and maybe upgrading the power supply, in case you want a mid-high range card...

It depends on what you want to do with the PC and the new video card!

Let me know, so that i can help you.

THanks,

I work for HP! Please remember to provide kudo.JPGand if this helped click ON AS.JPG

I have a couple of rendering programs and CAD programs that I have to use on it and I also use it for online gaming. The rendering programs and CAD program seem to work decently except for a few small things, but the video during gaming is pretty poor, especially on some of the newer games.

Those specs are not very high. Notice the nVidia 285 reference. Here is a 500 series card that is 3 families up from that card but now you should notice that you will need a minimum 450W power supply. You will find lots of variations even on the 560 and people to argue EVGA  ASUS  ....

This is probably more than enough card for your game:

I never bought from that place and suggest you look at Amazon, Newegg, Walmart etc (shop).

ATI will also offer a midrange card that would also be good. I think it will be hard for you to go wrong by just keeping the price over $100. They are not kidding about the power supply minimum! Don't buy a cheap power supply and expect to really get the wattage they say. Go for a name brand like Antec or equivalent.
