no sound

i have a pavilion dm4 notebook and it running win 7.

the problem I'm having and cannot figure out is that the sound will somedays work while other days it will not.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver but still nothing. I would very much appreciate any and all help.

Hi

You have a couple of options as I see it.

Go to device manager and uninstall the driver and restart and unit will install the driver automatically.

Try doing System restore to the date when the unit was working fine.

Try to update the driver from hp.com website for Audio & Bios.

i tried the unistall and reinstall but no good. I have tried the recover before and it hasnt worked for be yet either

Did you try to update the BIOS & Audio driver from HP website. Even after this unit does not get sound then please back up your data then run a recovery on your unit.
