Hi-
Newbie here....I just installed an ATI Radeon X600/256mb pcie card in the HP dc7600 SFF and an getting 4-5 screen blanks during startup with WinXP.
It also has shut down twice in last two weeks since card was installed. No problems with onboard graphics.
My question is: I have loaded what I think are the correct drivers from this site and AMD/ATI site. Could someone please tell me/link me to the correct drivers. Some do not even list the X600 just X550/X1050. No gamming or heavy use on this machine. ¿¿Would I be better off too just stick with the onboard graphics??
thank you

Hi,
I suggest removing the card, reinstalling the drivers for the onboard graphics and using the onboard graphics for a week as a test.
If the blank screen startups and shutdowns go away then you have found the culprit.
If you have no need for higher resolution graphics you are definitely better off with the onboard video solution. I suggest using the original drivers.
Which dc7600 do you have? (CMT,SFF or Ultra-Slim form factor are the three versions)
Best regards,
erico

Hi-
Thank you for very fast reply. My unit is SFF so I had rather short list of afforadable cards to pick from. I will do as you suggest. If clears up problem, and I am sure it will, I will go back to onboard graphics. I did want to solve the issue with the X600 as too driver selection as I bought the card to use with this machine, it did seem little faster when in some programs.......light duty video editing comes to mind. But so be it.
Again Thank you.
