I can't get any sound from my computer

Hi
You have a couple of options as I see it please try these steps weblink also given below.
Go to device manager and uninstall the driver and restart and unit will install the driver automatically.
Try doing System restore to the date when the unit was working fine.
Try to update the driver from hp.com website for Audio & Bios.

Analise never mentioned OS in her question. I note your link to Troubleshooting only applies to Windows 7, is there a similar "sound" troubleshoot for Vista?
I will try the Uninstall driver routine suggested.

Are you using speakers, headset? Are you sure you have the device plugged into the sound out hole? It is usually green. Did you go into control panel and check sound? See if the speakers show up and if you have a sound scheme selected of if it reads none. You don't just have your sound muted?
