Re: two monitor configuration

Double check the boxes and packaging for the HDMI cable. If the monitors only came with DVI (white ends) and VGA (blue ends).... you will want to connect one monitor to the computer with the DVI cable. Next, go to Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Staples, Frys, etc. and purchase a 6' HDMI cable. Lastly, connect the other monitor with the HDMI cable.

Thanks and good luck.

Re: two monitor configuration

this really confused me, i wans't sure what to hook up to what, (e.g. monitor 1, go to monitor 2, etc. i had to do it for work, but i had a step by step booklet that i don't have here at home, it had illustrations, etc. so if i do it the way you suggest here, i can return the usb plugable external graphics card? sorry to keep asking repetitive quesitons, and making things more complicated than they are.

Re: two monitor configuration

Yes, you can return the unneeded components and connect as follows;

computer > HDMI cable > monitor #1

and

computer > DVI cable > monitor #2
