w1907 monitor issues

Hi guys. I got a problem now on my w1907 monitor. 1/4th of my monitor is displaying in high contrast. I don't know what happened. It started when the computer is waking up from sleep mode. That is where it first started. How can I fix this one?

Thanks

Vince,

What model PC and operating system are you using?  What video card is installed?

Re: w1907 monitor issues

My PC :

Pavilion a6455d

GPU: GTX260 latest drivers as of now.

OS: Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit

well that's my system. I'm using a DVI-VGA converter at the back of the GPU because I don't have a DVI connector.

Vince,

Get the latest monitor driver here.  Get the latest video card driver from NVIDIA. Get a DVI cable here and forget about using a converter.  BIOS level 5.22 is the latest.

Your GPU is GTX 260?  Was the PSU upgraded to support this card?

Re: w1907 monitor issues

What is the problem regarding the use of converter? Yes, my GTX 260 fully meets the sys. requirements. I got the corsair VX550 PSU. I already have installed the latest monitor drivers. Is the problem lies on the VGA cable or the monitor itself?

Re: w1907 monitor issues

Typically VGA is analog and DVI is digital.  Why mix with adapters?

Try the monitor on another PC to eliminate your PC as being the issue.

Re: w1907 monitor issues

Too bad it didn't work also. The problem I think is the monitor itself. I plugged the vga adapter into my laptop and tried. It's still the same.
