w2207 Wide LCD Monitor

I have this monitor to power down after 20 min of inactivity. When it powers back up, and I try to run a game, I get video device not found/connected type messages.  I can browse alright after powering back up, just no games. I have to reboot the rig to get the games to run right. 

 

Specs:

 

WinXP Pro v2002 SP3

AMD Phenom II x4 B55

3.21 GHz, 2.0 GB RAM

750w PSU

HP w2207 Wide LCD, v2.0 driver 1280x960x60hz@32bit

NVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti  v285.58 driver (tried the v296.10, but had issues)

Hi,

 

Please post the HP product number for your PC.

 

Try a different monitor and cable to eliminate the PC as the issue.  Alternatively, try the monitor and cable on a different PC.

 

What could be generating the video device not found message in the monitor is not found?
