why is there a space between this page and the left side of my monitor , its just a black space .

there is a gap between the page im viewing and  the edge of the monitor...about an inch. how do i fix it so the page im viewing goes completely across the monitor?:womanwink:

Hi,

 

Probably you are talking about viewing webpages, I think that's the way the designers want to fit to all types (old and new) of monitors. Old monitors use 4:3 format, modern monitors use 16:9 (or 16:10) format therefore normally there are 2 black bars on both sides on the monitors (including this site, very similar to viewing 4:3 movies on a wide screen TV). Many webpages use other method, speciall ONLY TEXT webpages which can fit nicely on all monitors.

 

Zooming (Ctrl and + or using the mouse wheel) will fix & make the whole page bigger.
