Re: wii to w1907

To answer your question, no. If you had a computer that had a tv tuner card, then yes, but do expect a slight delay in response time as I have experienced when hooking my Wii into my TV tuner.

I read elsewhere that an rca-vga adapter is available at radio shack et. al. would that work going straight to the monitor? Sorry...techstupid over here, i don't even know what an RCA or VGA really is. I know my monitor has an onboard speaker, and i know that the chords can be adapted somehow, but I don't know how it would be done. I am not planning on running it through my computer, but straight to the monitor instead. is this a viable solution?

Re: wii to w1907

this is one of the few kudos i have given

but both are correct to point but mboyle offers

added solution that there are adapter and many

of the adapter are availible in many different parts

of computer to auto and plus more

to give you an example i have a dvi adapter

the convert to Hdmi

and i did not get that at radio shack which

at this time may now be the only place beside

on the internet

but i like to add you can add video card if

there is room for your desktop but for the laptop

no direct link but may be a adapter box that

you can get for you wii

and also check of the wii if there are more types of

connection like the vga and rca plugs so that gives you

more option there but i dont own game console

but i have tvs and including the dinosour tv as well as

flat screen tvs and monitors all which have muptle connections

so there is more options there

Please provide Kudos to whom has provided answers or
good points or advice..

Re: wii to w1907

So I am also trying to connect a Wii, but I have a m8307c. It has a TV tuner but it doesn't have the connections (without adapters) for the Wii. There are video ports on the front panel, composite video 2, that work. I go through the windows media center setup, chose satellite/cable devise, I can see the video feed is working in a small window by chosing composite video 2. I just can't get past the IR detection for the satellite/cable box cause I'm really not setting up one of those boxes.

Can I switch the video input similar to a tv?

Here's all my info...

System:

  Manufacturer HP-Pavilion

  Model KC878AA-ABA m8307c

Total amount of system memory 3.00 GB RAM

  System type 32-bit operating system

Motherboard:

  Motherboard manufacturer's name: Asus IPIBL-LB
