Hi,

If have seen tearing caused in a single monitor configuration by a couple of issues with some programs that I use.

The source program is faulty.  ----> This appears to be my problem and the program will never be rewritten.

The video driver is faulty.

Are you able to switch the monitors around?

Hi,

HP does offer some first aid utilites for your monitor.  There is also monitor driver available.

Does the tearing occur when only one monitor is active and only one monitor is plugged in?

Check the video card manufacturer's web site for a video driver update.

Are you using ATI Eyefinity?

Re: zr24w monitor

HI Big_Dave, Yes I've got the utilities pack, latest H.P drivers ,latest AMD drivers etc and yes I am using ati Eyefinity.I have noticed that if I make the centre HP screen the preferred monitor the vertical tearing goes away but appears on the other two screens! so I am guessing this is an amd driver fault and will persue it with them. Thanks for your suggestions...........
