Pavilion 500-056
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So here is the scoop. My computer (HP Pavilion 500-056) had been broken for a year now, and I finally fixed it and reinstalled windows 10. Everything was working beautifully and I was very happy until I realized that I had no sound coming out of my speakers. Through my process of tinkering around, checking cables and output input plugs and such, there seemed to be no problem. I went into the sound mixer and there I accidentally disabled my speakers, so they do not pop up on the list anymore! I have no idea how to enable them now, and I still have no idea how to fix my sound. If someone could help pronto I would be extremely happy! Thanks!

Hi,

If they were just disabled, you can re-enable them as follows.

Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback devices'.

In the subsequent window, right click an empty area and enter a check mark against 'Show Disabled Devices'.

If your speakers are now listed, right click them and select Enable.
