My Compaq works absolutely fine, if I don't plug my Eaton Elipse 600 Uninterruptible Power Supply USB connector in.

If I do, then it locks up on POST.

As soon as I unplug the USB, it continues its boot.

Why?

Can I disable USB on bootup?

Whoa there!

It locks on boot i.e. POST...

Linux has not been loaded yet, so  what's the use of looking up a Linux forum when it hasn't even looked at the hard drive, let alone loaded the OS?

Really?  Nothing?  No answer?
