My keyboard works when I enter the password to unlock the computer but other than that I can not type anything.  The notebook makes a clicking sound when I strike the keys but it will not actually type.  The mouse works fine and I can access online but only if I go through the history of sites I have already visited.  Please help, I use this notebook for my schoolwork during the day and cant afford a new one right now.

Thank you

Hi,

As the keyboard works until you log in, check the following.

Open windows Control Panel and in the top right, next to View by: select 'Large Icons'.  From the new layout, select the 'Ease of Access Centre'.

Select the option 'Make the keyboard easier to use'.

If there is a tick next to 'Turn on Filter Keys', click the box to remove it, then click Apply and Ok to save this change.
