My HP compaq D530 SFF (yeah I am not kidding , And yes I know it's old ) won't boot and keep peeping 5 times with red LED every second stop for 2 seconds then again , How can I fix it ?

Hi:

 

5 beeps = problem with the memory.

 

To troubleshoot:

 

Shut down and unplug the PC.  Press the power button to drain any residual power from the PC.

 

Remove and firmly reseat all of the memory modules.

 

If that doesn't work...

 

Remove all memory modules and tes them one at a time in the primary memory slot (I think that should be the slot closest to the processor).

 

Test each one until you get the beeping to start. 

 

Then you have found the bad memory chip and you will need to replace it.

 

If all the above fails, time for a new PC, as the motherboard is probably failed on you.
