HP Envy Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I am trying to duel boot Windows 10 and Linux on my HP Envy, however I’m having no luck. I’ve probably tried every popular distro and all of them get stuck either when booting up the installation/live cd or when trying to install. I have enabled legacy boot and disable secure boot.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

New Win10 PC come with UEFI -- and that poses special problems for booting and installing Linux distros:  http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2147295

Your best bet for Linux support, since HP does not provide Linux drivers, is to contact the support forum for the Linux distro you are trying to install -- in this case, the Ubuntu Forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/

Good Luck
