Hello,

My PC is HP Pavilion P6615fr.

Since yesterday, at boot, it beeps and nothing appears on the screen. The power light is on steadily, so this part works probably correctly and I conclude that failure is either in the motherboard or an internal device.

Is there a table of meaning of the various beeps emitted by the machine to allow me to refine my search.
Thank you for your help

Hi @Plancade,

As I understand the computer is not booting into the windows anymore,

To provide an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Was any update/reset process interrupted, recently?

Have you made any software or hardware changes on the PC?

Have you performed any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Step 1: Performing a power reset if your computer does not start

If your computer does not start, first reset all power to device. Hopefully, the problem is temporary and can be fixed by performing the following steps:

  1. Disconnect all peripheral devices such as printers, USB storage devices and media cards.

  2. Disconnect the power cord from the computer.

  3. Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds until the power LED on the power supply is off.

  4. Reconnect the power cord, and press the Power button.

  5. Listen for sounds of drives and fans turning.

  6. If the computer still fails to start and emits beeping sounds, continue to the next section.

Step 2: Removing dust from cooling areas on your computer

If your computer is new and has never been used before, you may skip this step.

Over time, dust can collect in the cooling vents of your computer. Too much dust can block airflow, causing sensitive components to overheat and fail. Before troubleshooting for startup codes, it is important to remove any dust that might have accumulated.

While wearing eye protection, use canned air or the end of a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from vents, preferably outdoors.

For more details, please follow the steps listed in the support document: Click here

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes for further assistance,

I hear a short beep, a long beep that means the fault comes from the memory.
I now have to look if it is possible to change this component on my motherboard (Motherboard H-I41-uATX (Eton)). But there are three conditions:
1) Is it easy for a non-specialist?
2) Is this component still on sale
3) Is the price of the component not higher than that of a new PC?

Do you have any advice and advice on this issue?
Thanks again.
