I got my 6005 with Windows 10 on it. Upgraded video card to Radeon hd 6450. Everything works, except for sleep. After it wakes the screen is black. I can hear the computer boot, I can see and move the pointer, but the screen is black with now way to sign in

Also if I put that same exact video card into my older gateway (running Windows 10) it wakes up fine

Hi:

I assume the model PC you have is a HP 6005 Pro business desktop PC?

If so, a couple of things you can try...

1. Install the amd chipset drivers for your PC.  1st driver on the list.  Restart the PC after installing.

2. Disable fast startup.  See this link for how to do that.

Sorry for the delay. I made the changes. After sleep the picture comes up and you can move the pointer, but I'm unable to do anything

Sorry that didn't work for you.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other ideas for you to try.

You may want to back up your files and do a clean install of W10 and see if that resolves the problem.
