Blu-ray burner specs

New HP PC. Came with Blu-ray burner (model: hp BD-RE BH20L). Unable to find specs (max read/write speeds on different media, esp. Blu-ray discs) anywhere on HP's website; even tech support doesn't know!! If anyone has the same unit, would you kindly share the specs, please?

I just installed two BH20L HP Blue-Ray burners in a couple new HP dc7900 computers.  The HP part number for this is AR481AA.  You can find it on the HP website here:  HP AR481AA

One more Q, if you please:

- Does it support burning on DL (dual-layer) blu-ray discs? [The Hardware Diagnostic Tools doesn't list that format under Writable Media, so I was wondering if you had tried burning those discs.]

Yes, it's supposed to burn to a dual layer disk, although I haven't tried.  I actually haven't tried buring or reading a Blur-Ray disk yet.  Let me know how it works for you.

Has anyone actually tried dual layered disks in this drive.  The cost is coming down to a point where it is worth using them.  Although the cost is not at a point where I can take a chance and be wrong.

I'd like to know this as well.  I have the same drive and have burned several 25gb discs....DO the 50's work?

I have a new HP Pavillion desktop with a Blu Ray writer, model hp BD-RE BH38L.  Where do I find the specs for burning speed, type of compartible discs, etc?  Will it know automatically to burn to Blu-Ray vs. std Dvd?

Any info is appreciated?
