DVD play has sound skips and not synced with video

My Pavilion Slimline s3750t with 64 bit system and blueray lightscribe player has problems playing normal DVDs. Video and sound are ok when window is minimized but full screen video quality is marginal, and sound either skips or is out of sync with video. Happens with both Windows Media Player and HP Smart Media Player. Have updated as many things as I can can find an update for.

Any suggestions?

Try closing all open programs before running either one of them.

 

For example, close the HP Advisor Dock

Search and download small programme called 'resetdma'. Run this and it will cure problem with your DVD player
