Getting a "No Lightscribe Devices Found on this System" error

My Pavilion a1410n desktop is about 4 years old and is running fine. It has Lightscribe capability and I have used it on several occasions in the past, though not in the last 5-6 months.

I went to use it today, and I keep getting a "There are no lightscribe devices found on this system" error. I normally access Lightscribe via Sonic. I also tried to download the latest driver from Lightscribe, but to no avail.

I have no idea why it just stopped working. Does anyone know how to get Lightscribe up and running again? Maybe un/re-install Sonic..?

I'm in the same boat.  I've made many, many lightscribe labels and just today I'm getting the "No lightscribe device found" notice.

I've reinstalled drivers, run diagnostic software, made a change in the registry...all without success.
