HP DVD Writer 640B firmware update question

I just did a firmware update (sp26639) and followed the instructions. How can I tell if the firmware update was successful? I did not get any prompts or anything after I rebboted the computer.

Download Imgburn (it's a freebie) and it will verify your firmware level and do a lot more.  Alternatively, use HP Support Assistant.
