Hi,
The BDDVDRW CH20L is a blu-ray player, not a burner.
It will also play & burn most cds and dvds. Here are some details:

The specs are interesting and implies that this device reads BD disks. However, with my HPE-580t running Win7 Pro, only HP Software is able to access the drive when inserting a BD disk. Surely, there must be a driver available for the BDDVDRW CH20L that would allow access to the BD disks by other programs such as VLC or Handbrake, but with all my searching and HP Support, none has been found. Does such a driver exist that allows universal access to the BD function?
