The lightscribe DVD drives does not read media. Attempted software upgrade to no avail. Error.

The drive would not read media regardless of type or format of CD/DVD.  Downloaded and attemted lightscribe DVD software upgrade; however, during installation system generated error stating "InProc Error".  Something in programming of upgrade (get file...).
