Can i upgrade my Physical Memory (RAM) to 8GB ? [ Edited ]

My Laptop is (HP pavilion g6-1066ee). I already got 4GB of RAM but i need to upgrade to 8GB. So please tell me what is the Maximum RAM of this notebook.

I think the g6-1066 models limited to 4GB.  I can double check that if you post the product number.

And if its maximum 4GB ... no way to upgrade even to 6GB ?

There are 2 slots actually ... 1 with 4GB and the other one is empty.

Hi,

The specifications for the g6-1066se indicate 4 GB is the maximum.  This post by HP also indicates 4 GB is the maximum.

However, this manual show 8 GB is possible.

The fact that your laptop has one 4GB module would make me lean towards 8 GB as the maximum. I don't know if HP Support can sort this out but contact them and find out.  You may need to contact a HP Product Specialist.

I'll try to have some others look into your situation.

And btw i downloaded a scanner to my notebook and it told me that my maxiumum RAM memory is 16GB !! 

is those scanners are real ?

Hi i have a question i just bought a a HP Pavillion dv6t quad edition and i wanna know how i can upgrade it to 8gb memory,It says that currently it has a free upgrade to 8gb memory and a free upgrade to blu ray player too. I want to get 8gb but i dont know how though plz help.
