Game won't load

I've been playing WarBirds with no troubles. But two days ago the game stopped loading up. (won't launch) I've tried re-installing the game, Running it as administrator, Changing to different compatibility modes. Everything I could think of to try. Plus some suggestions from totalsims.com forums.

Ted, welcome to the forum.

Have you installed the patches for the game?  This is the first thing that I do when I install one.  Also, I suggest updating the video device driver.  Once you completed these steps, let us know if you still have the problem or not.

Yes, I've updated drivers and downloaded game updates. I just don't understand. The game worked fine up until Saturday night. I backed out to eat supper and when I went to get back on all this started. I allowed the program to pass through my firewall and everything. I'm really at a lost. I didn't do anything between backing out and coming back on.

Ted, it sounds like you have done a good job of troubleshooting.  At first I wasn't certain if you were playing online or not.  From your response, I believe that you are playing online.  If this is the case, it could be that something happened to the server.  You could contact the sites Customer Service to see what they have to say.

I've been working on this problem it seems forever. What do you think about drivers? I just don't know. I still get a "file missing" message. My abilities are limited when it comes to trouble shooting.

 Can you install DX drivers? I'm so disappointed. I miss my game.

Ted, I feel for you.   I know how it is when a game doesn't work properly.

Let's start over.

1) Are you playing online?

2) Is there any software for the game on your computer?

3) Have you updated the video driver?

4) Did any strange things occur just before your problem began?

5) Have you contacted Customer Support for the game?

Answers to these questions will help me with my diagnosis.

Yes the game is played online

I downloaded the game from total sims.com

yes I've updated all my drivers

No I backed out to eat supper. When I tried to get back on this started

Yes been talking to them. They are saying I need to install DX9. I have DX11

It's not a problem to run both DirectX 9 and 11.  Go to Microsoft for DirectX 9.

that very same thing happened to me on saturday too !! with all my games on line having withdraws..lol
