Hi, Bazza:
You should be able to install any PCIe 2.0 video card that requires no more than a 350W P/S.
You should have a wide field of choices.
My recommendation is to get one with 1 GB of memory and a 128 bit memory interface.
I wish I had done that in my dc7600 CMT.
I installed a nVidia 8400 GS 512 MB card. It runs just fine for video streaming and stuff like that. I never played any games on it though.
I installed an AMD Radeon 6570 1 GB 128 bit card on my 8200 Elite (a few models newer than the dc7600).
It runs fantastic, but I am afraid the PCIe 2.1 interface may be a bit too new for the PCIe x 16 slot that came in the dc7600. It is not even PCIe 2.0.
There could be compatibility issues with PCIe 2.1 and PCIe slots older than 2.0.
Check out NewEgg.com's selection of PCIe 2.0 video cards. Read the reviews and watch for the P/S requirements.

Hi Paul
thanks for your reply, I searched reviews on nVidia 8400 GS 512 MB and the reviews are unfavourable for playing games,I've searched for cards that run with this PSU, but it's a drawn out process with conflicting reports on power consumption, guess I'll have to keep looking, didn't think it would be this hard
cheers
Bazza

Hi,
You might want to look over the following video cards since your PC only has 365 watt power supply:
$80---->NVIDIA GT 440 25.6 GB/s -- single slot width
$130-->NVIDIA GT 545 43 GB/s -- single slot width ---- might be hard to find but perhaps only in the store
An older but excellent video card is the NVIDIA GT 240 1GB DDR5 - 54.4 GB/s and is a single card width. This card doesn't support DirectX 10 which is optionally used in some of the newer PC games but it is an excellent performer.

Hi guys
just an update, installed a coolermaster igreen 600w psu, not the right size for the case as atx psu are smaller in depth than the original one, but managed to get it screwed in,also installed a radeon HD 6570, ( i was running this before i installed the psu and ran fine although couldn't comment on the longevity of the setup). anyway thanks for all your input
Bazza
