Hello all super HP users!
I own a Pavilion a6424.gr which has a GeForce 8500GT (PCIE, 512MB ddr2) by default. I am thinking of upgrading the graphics card with a GeForce GTS 450 (ASUS). Do you think it is going to work ok? Can the mobo's PCIe accommodate for this card (says it needs PCIe 2.0)?
Thank you very much in advance for any suggestions, ideas, answers or yours!

The only problem you will have is the original PSU (only 300W and no six-pin PCIe power connectors). This upgrade will require a PSU upgrade to 400 Watt ot better,
Best regards,

Hope you're right cause I just ordered one.

Your motherboard has plenty of space for a doublewide card
.
The card will cover one PCIe x1 slot.

everything went okay but i got to let you know that there is barely enough room for the new card. Actually it hits both the ram clips and the sata cable and can only be put to place with extreme care and a bit of squeeze.
