Trying to install a GTX560Ti

 I have a corsair tx550m for s PS and a HP pavalion 7p-1039, once I installed the Geforce GTX56Ti and plug the monitor into the new card, i do not get any signal to the monitir at all. The fan on the card is running and all the connection are made, though still nothing. So I removed the card and went back to the graphics card that came with the comp and checked BIOS to make sure that the PCI-E was assigned to be used, it was. My question iis, is there some thing I am missing here? I tried for over a week now talking in e-mails with EVGA trying to get answers with very little sucess.

Sonnyii, welcome to the forum.

 

According to the specs that I found for the GTX560ti, it has two 6 pin power connectors on the back of the card.  Are you certain that you have connected the cables to both of them?  Also, the card requires a minimum of 500W to operate properly.  While I am certain that the Corsair 550W is a fine card, it may not be enough wattage to power the system.

I upgraded to a Corsair TX850 and yes the tow six prong pins are plug in, still the monitor does not receive any signal. Got a hold of the manufacture and they want me to mail the card back, but one question I have is this; on the mother board there is a 24 female connector, the original PS was a 20 prong pin now since the new card is bigger then the old one do I need to plug in all 24 pins with the new PS?
