Hi, i have a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1150uk Desktop PC and i want to upgrade the graphics card, it has a GeForce GT 530 at the moment. I have around £250 to spend, would a GeForce GTX 580 fit/be compatible with my machine? If so do i need to upgrade anything else if it is compatible? If it isnt compatible, can you recommend anything that will fit around my price range please?
Thanks

Hi,
Currently GT 530 uses 50W of power, the GTX580 needs 244W of power. You need to upgrade your PSU to cater for this, its wattage must be at least = current wattage + (244 - 50) or add another 200W.
Regards.

Hi,
Open up your PC and do some measuring in parallel with the PCI-E x16 slot to see how long of a video card will fit. The slot adjacent to the PCI-E x16 slot needs to be vacant. Look carefully at the motherboard and makes sure that components on the motherboard don't interfere with the installation of the video card.
What is the maximum length for a video card that will fit in your PC?
