Upgrading a G5470uk

I decided to buy a HP Pavilion G5470uk as it had a good processor for gaming. However, I need to upgrade the graphics card. I'm thinking of getting a Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti. However, the power supply would probably not support it.

My questions...

1) What power supply do you recommend and would it fit in the case of the G5470uk?

2) Will the Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti fit into the case of the G5470uk?

My questions...

1) What power supply do you recommend and would it fit in the case of the G5470uk?  I believe that any standard ATX power supply unit (PSU) should fit into the case.  However, I always suggest measuring the current PSU and comparing the measurements to the one that you choose.  I like Corsair and OCZ.  They are very fine high-end manufacturers.  I normally recommend 500 to 600W.  This will give you far more choices for video cards and other future upgrades.

2) Will the Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti fit into the case of the G5470uk?  The motherboard is a mATX (9.6" x 8.7").  Therefore, the GTX 550 will be a tight fit.  The one in the link is 8.25" in length.  As I said, it will be a tight fit if it does fit.  I like XFX, BFG, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  So, using the one that I provided as a sample, you can see what you can find.  Always read as many of the Customer Reviews as you can.  This will give you a good idea how any product performs before you buy it.  They give you the straight scoop.

Re: Upgrading a G5470uk

Thanks for the reply and answers!

I decided on the following...

GPU - Here

PSU - Here

This totals £200 including VAT and shipping with the £400 the computer cost. That's £600 for something that's guranteed to run BF3 (I hope...). Just one thing about the GPU, will the length of the GPU be the same as the one you mentioned (I can't get it from that website as it doesn't ship to the U.K.) or will it vary?
