I just installed a GTX 570 and an 800W power supply to my hp a6720y and my more demanding games are running smoothly. The only problem is, sometimes they wont boot up, for no particular reason it seems. Batman Arkham asylum was working perfectly the day I installed the hardware, but today it won't start! Furthermore, all of my popcap games like Peggle, Chuzzle and PvZ wont boot up. I have never had this problem before. What should I do?

Do you mean that your games will not launch?
Your PC does boot up it that correct?

MS, have you searched for patches for the games? This is the first thing that I do when installing a game. It may be that the new components are too high tech for the games. I have had this happen. A patch can solve this problem.

Ye my PC boots up fine, everything works except for these particular games. It's the damnedest thing!
And all of the aforementioned games are through steam which keeps them updated. Would the patch go through steam or do I still need to google it or go to the game website?
Thank God WoW is still working LOL.

Try reinstalling DirectX 10 from the Microsoft web site. Most of the card manufacturer's installation disks do install updates for DirectX including DirectX11. This might be the cause.

Its graphics card drivers. Go to Nvidia.com and get the latest ones. The launch drivers were terrible.

Hi all,
I've a strange problem with the mentioned card. (GTX 570) and a 8200 elite pc.
the card is not visible in the device manager, it seems to be not up or recognized by the bios. I tried the card on another pc and is working fine. do I have to install a different power supply with more capacity ? at the moment I'm trying with the original one and an external supply for the 4 power connections on the vga card.
Thanks for the help you could give me
