I recently purchased an Envy 750c desktop from Costco.com. I would like to add a M.2 PCIe SSD to the computer. The specs show an M.2 slot but I'm not sure where it is on the motherboard and/or if a M.2 80mm, PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD can be used.

Hi,
What is it actually, must be 750-xxx please check its label at the back. For example the following machine has
- Expansion Slots:
- 1 PCI Express x16 (Gen3.0)
- 1 PCI Express x1 (Gen3.0)
- One M.2 socket 1, key A
- One M.2 socket 3, key M
Source: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-750-200-Desktop-PC-series/9259609/document/c04949967/
and
Socket 1 is designed for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, NFC and WI Gig
Socket 2 is designed for WWAN, SSD (caching) and GNSS
Socket 3 is designed for SSDs (both SATA and PCIe, up to x4 performance)
That means we can add a M.2 type SSD to this machine.
Regards.
