Can anyone tell me what this particular hard Drive error is?
My computer is an HP Pavilion 23. Model # 23p110
Error: HARD DRIVE SHORT DST CHECK
PGAAWM-7B78HJ-MFPM6K-60SJ03
Error: HARD DRIVE LONG DST CHECK
PGAAWM-7B78HJ-MFPM6K-61AA03

Product ID#: J4V81AA#ABA

HP Cust service is closed and of course they say my warranty is expired....Need Help......anyone??

Hello

 

You need to replace HDD soon.

 

Copy data to external backup very quick.

 

No warranty means you must buy new HDD and install.

 

Do you have HP recovery discs or USB recovery stick?

As I suspected...I purchased this unit from Office Depot for my kids to use here in the kitchen. Do not have any recovery discs. All software was preloaded and the Microsoft software such as office...was downloaded from the internet.

I can get an external drive but I can't get it running long enough to get the info off it....

Suggestions??

In this situation, since you cannot move data to external backup, you may have to remove HDD from PC and connect to a HDD cady connected to a different PC or connect the failing HDD to a different PC with SATA connection.

 

Cannot find product using 23p110.  I try to check for recovery software with this product number you have given but no good.

 

Maybe HP has recovery discs or USB recovery stick to use after installing new HDD.

 

If no backup before this problem and you cannot get data from failing drive you will lose data.
