HP Z400 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi, I have an old HP Z400 Workstation with 4 Dimms and was thinking of beefing it up a bit. i was thinking of buying the i7-980 or i7-980X. So i want to know if i can support before i spend the money. I am relativley new to computers so any help would be greatly appreciated.

@FatTony_80, welcome to the forum.

 

Here is an Overview of the Z400.  You can review the processors that are supported by the motherboard.  Any other processor, such as, the i7-980/X, would not necessarily work.
