Phoenix

Hello,

I have a 2014 HP Phoenix H9-1420T. I'm getting error messages that I have searched and according to the HP website I need to replace the hard drive soon. I am looking for a good replacement hard drive and I wanted to know if Seagate - 2TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for Desktops - Multi would be a good choice. I use the computer for work daily and light gaming (sims 4). If this is not good could you please recommend something? Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Basically any standard HDD for desktop computers (3.5") will work. My suggestion use the same brand with the existing brand for easy go.

Currently the series has the following options

Must select one of the following options:
  • 2 TB 7200 RPM SATA
  • 3 TB 7200 RPM SATA
  • 2 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA + 16 GB Disk Caching Solid State Drive
  • 3 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA + 16 GB Disk Caching Solid State Drive
  • 2 x 1 TB drives in RAID 0 (2 TB usable storage capacity), 7200 rpm, SATA 6G
  • 2 x 2 TB drives in RAID 1 (2 TB usable storage capacity), 7200 rpm, SATA 6G
  • 3 x 1 TB drives in RAID 5 (2 TB usable storage capacity), 7200 rpm, SATA 6G
  • 3 x 2 TB drives in RAID 5 (4 TB usable storage capacity), 7200 rpm, SATA 6G
  • 128 GB SATA Solid State Drive
  • 256 GB SATA Solid State Drive

for a second HDD:

Must select one of the following options:
  • No second hard drive
  • 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA
  • 2 TB 7200 RPM SATA
  • 3 TB 7200 RPM SATA

and for a third HDD

  • 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA
  • 2 TB 7200 RPM SATA

Device Manager and under Disk drives will tell you what is the current disk. Bigger cache will get better performance.

Regards.
