hp pavilion p6-2469ea
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I'm currently planning on upgrading my hp pavilion p6-2469ea  to be able to run more high-demanding games, such as ARK: Survival evolved and being that I have no experience with computers I'm stuck so help on what to upgrade and some recomendations would be much  appreciated. Just to note I have already upgraded the ram to 8GB.

@TomM123, welcome to the forum.

Here are the system requirements for ARK: Survival evolved:

It appears your processor and memory are fine.  I suggest that you upgrade the video card to at least a GTX 750Ti.  Read the Customer Reviews to see what users have to say about it.

You may have to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU), also.  The EVGA 750Ti says that it will work with a PSU with 300W.  However, most members have reported requiring at least 400W.  If you replace the PSU, I like Corsair products.  A modular PSU is better for a mid-size case.  It allows you to only use the cables that absolutely necessary.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you some extra wattage for peak usage.

One last component that will make a major difference is a SSD.  I like Samsung's SSD's.  They seem to install better without the need to change any BIOS settings.  The only necessity is to make certain that the BIOS is set to AHCI.  The SSD will not work if it is not setup this way.
