So I gave you the product ID.
SMART detected imminent hard drive failure on my hard drive. I want to know a good hard drive that would be compatible with this exact product. It would be nice if you would give me a link, but if you can't, just tell me the exact hard drive identification.
Thanks for any help,

I moved this to the notebook forum. You have a HP PAVILION 17-E118DX NOTEBOOK. According to specs, it has an 750GB SATA hard disk drive - 5,400 RPM, 2.5-inch small form factor (SFF). You must purchase the same size as a minimum. Part number is 634250-001. I stay with a 750GB or 1TB drive.

You do not need the same part number. Any 2.5 inch wide 7mm or 9.5mm thick SATA drive will work fine. They are industry standard interchangeable. You do not want to go smaller in capacity to be sure recovery media will work OK. You might want to consider something that performs better than a 5400 rpm drive. You can get a 7200 rpm drive an SSHD or an SSD. Post back if that raises more questions than it answers.
