I have a wireless HP mouse, model number RM713A.

This was part of a keyboard and mouse bundle, which had a USB dongle type receiver.

The keyboard is now defunct and I cant find the receiver, but I was hoping that this was a bluetooth mouse, that I could pair and use with my HP Elitebook Folio 9470m, but when I search for devices in the bluetooth menu and press the connect button on the mouse, the laptop wont find the mouse.

Any help much appreciated!

According to this thread, that mouse is a Bluetooth model.  HERE are the instructions on how to set it up.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply,

Unfortunately, the link to the setup procedure isnt relevant, as that software isnt installed on my laptop.

My bluetooth seems to be working on my laptop, the bluetooth icon is in the taskbar and I can call up the options, however, when I try to pair it to the mouse, it doesnt see the mouse.

I have tried seeing if my bluetooth phone sees the mouse - it doesnt, nor does my iPad.

Interestingly, my laptop doesnt see the ipad, phone, or a bluetooth keyboard I have either, so I dont know if the laptop's bluetooth isnt working properly either!

Thanks for trying though

Eddmac,

I have the keyboard and dongle, but my mouse just broke and I would like to replace it. So if you end up not being able to use it, I would be interested in buying it from you. Thanks.

PS: I read in another forum that "the wireless keyboard and mouse that come with the Touchsmart line are NOT Bluetooth, they're RF"

Hi there,

I would be happy enough selling this to you, however, I'm in N. Ireland.
