Product: HP All-in-One - 21-2035t
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a failing 1TB HD that I want to replace with a SSD 250-500GB HD. Do I need a 1TB HD replacement to use recovery disk? The only programs/apps are MS Office and printer software, so I know there is enough space.

The system would expect the 1 TB drive.  If the faulty drive can last another cycle, you can use migration software into the smaller drive. Just read the procedure to shrink the original to the smaller size.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
