Wireless Mouse X3000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. My HP Wireless Mouse X3000 is hardly scrolling down. I have to rotate that little wheel very very fast until I get the least scrolling. It is connected using the provided USB wireless reciever. I tried it on two PCs, both with USB 2.0 and 3.0. The same problem. What can I do?

Hi there @anduble,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand that you are having some problems with the scroll wheel function on your mouse in Windows 10.

Try using the HP Support Assistant, if you haven't already, to search for updated drivers if they are available.
HP PCs - Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7)
HP PCs - Troubleshooting HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 😎

Then if you are still having the same issue, try out this page:  HP PCs - Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Troubleshooting.

Be sure to check your mouse settings in Windows 10.  Select (left click) the Start Start icon button, then select Settings  > then Devices.  Then select the Mouse & touchpad from the list along the left. You can make adjustments to the function of the scroll wheel from the avauilable options displayed and from the Addtional mouse options link.

Please let me know how that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

My mouse is still under warranty and my scrolling function is pretty much useless.  The 'support' portion of this website doesn't provide an email address, and only says 'this device is no longer supported'.  How can I take advantage of a warranty claim, if the website doesn't even provide an address?

If the warranty is to provide the same mouse, it sounds like this is a common flaw, can we upgrade to a better model?
