The power supply should work so install it first and get you PC stable before installing more new hardware.
Many NVIDIA GTX 750 graphics cards will not work in your PC. However, one of the below models might work.

With a 460watt PSU stock (probably not that efficient, but keep reading) you should be perfectly fine with a i7 2600 and a 750Ti. The 750Ti uses very little power, about the same if not less than the stock GT545.
Like said above, the 750Ti's seem to have a problem (actually, the 750Ti's don't have the problem, the motherboards BIOS does) being recognized on HP boards.
With that said, I would recommend skipping the PSU upgrade and grabbing an aftermarket motherboard instead. You can get a decent 7 series 1155 board for about $60-80 and you will have absolutley no probelms using any GPU you desire. Plus you'll get much better driver support and longevity due to a newer chipset.
With an aftermarket board + a 750Ti, you'll have a nice system that will last for quite awhile.

You really don't need a new motherboard or power supply to use the NVIDIA GTX 750 models that I recommended. Try one of the cards that I recommended first before replacing the motherboards and possibly having to also buy a new Windows license.

I think your right Dave I was looking into those graphics card's and they only need around 300+ watts to run , so i'll take your advice and try the card on it's own and it's easy to get a psu afterwords if i need it.

Sorry it me again real life came into play and money is a bit short this month , could you recommend a graphics card cheaper then the NVIDIA GTX 750 but slightly better then the old one that would work with my psu please?
I can get along without a high specs one the fan is just starting to go on the old one.
