I want to add a new video card (not too expensive) to my old HP Pavillion Slimline s3720 but I do not know which video card to buy, as there are way too many choices. I do know that the new card has to be low profile with a half bracket so it can fit in the slot currently available in the mother board. I hope to conect my Dell UltraSharp 1708FP 17-inch LCD Flat VGA monitor to this new card to gain better resolution and graphics. Can anyone out there give me a recommendation as to which card to buy? Please be specific. Thanks.

The slimelines were never meant to be video intensive. Your circa 2008 model was Vista. Updates to drivers ended with WIN 7. It's a miracle you got WIN10 without the available drivers is another story. Another factor is the meager 160W PSU. That limits your options, if you have any. The common consensus is to let it be. The added heat from a graphic card, the probable additonal of a new PSU truly outweight the costs.
