Wireless keyboard not working. Went through all the recommended steps in HP official Help section. Changed batteries, moved USB device (the type that does not have a button), pressed the connector button on bottom of keyboard, turned computer on and off, etc. Nothing helps. However, the wireless mouse is working just fine. What to do? Thank you!

Greetings @laura2840,

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are facing an issue with the wireless keyboard.

Don't worry, I will be glad to help.

Kudos to you for trying a lot of troubleshooting steps on your own.

How far is the keyboard from the receiver?

Recommend you to remove the batteries from the keyboard and mouse.

Refer to Step 6 under "Wireless keyboard or mouse does not work" in this article

Follow the procedure while having the keyboard as close as 1 feet to the receiver during the synchronization.

If the issue persists, as you have already tried most of the troubleshooting.

Recommend you to contact our phone support for any service options.

Dear Chimney_83,

Your suggestions are same as in HP Support materials and I had already done those with no success. I bought a new keyboard and USB receiver and all is well now. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, glad to hear that the new keyboard is working fine. If the older keyboard is under warranty, you can contact our phone support to have it replaced.
