hp a6452f
Microsoft Windows Vista

hi i have hp a6452f machine with windows 32bit and western digital 640gb harddrive that it came with. i bought seagate  1tb harddrive  and install it. now i did factory recovery using the cd. and i get this message (windows setup cannot install windows on this hardware). now the harddrive sata port is set to achi. now i did set it to ide and it worked. but i think achi is little faster on newer harddrive alittle so i did another recovery. anyway i was wondering when you update the driver for intel sata controller by dowladoing f6flpy-x86.zip dose it stay on intel chip or on harddrive? so in future if i do another recovery i wondpw get that message again.

Hi,

It will stay on hard drive and in the future if you perform another recovery you will need to reinstall it.

Hope it helps,

David
